So I was rummaging through Facebook today and found out that an old friend of mine (whom I haven’t seen in quite some time) is fundraising for OBAMA. It made me SO proud. He is my age, he lives across the country, and he is DOING something.
I also came together with one of my favorite young passionate ladies in SoCal and together we are hosting a phone banking session at my place tomorrow before heading out to yet another birthday party in my honor. I LOVE IT. My friends are excited and they are young and they are passionate and they are not willing to be part of the statistic that says that young people don’t participate.
I LOVE FEELING PART OF THIS COMMUNITY of young people. passionate people. capable people. We are making a difference and it’s all in honor of Barack Obama. How amazing is this man that he brings people together like this?
I am just so proud of my peers and feel so lucky to be surrounded by such capable and passionate people.
