The Logo for That One 08
So as many of you saw last night, John McCain decided to refer to one of the most historic figures in modern American History as “That One” during the President Debate last night. How very Un-Presidential. If there is a silver lining, it is that the public reacted with disgust. And Obama won the debate.
One of the most impressive things about this is how quickly it has been capitalized on. Every news report I heard today, regardless of the network, was speaking about public reaction. On Facebook, a number of my friends changed their status to “I am voting for “That One.” One of my friends even wrote “I am voting for the ONLY one.”
Most impressive, especially given the turnaround time is that there is actually an entire webpage that has been created:www.thatone08.com. The site refers to Obama as “That One,” gives historical background on “That One” and will even sell you a t-shirt with his likeness and the now infamous phrase words emblazened in red below his likeness. I love it.
