Tomorrow is the Day.

My puppy Stanley wants to come along

I am so excited! Tomorrow morning I hope on a plane (Thanks to Aleks!) and head to Ohio to join the campaign on the road. My mother and I spent a good two hours attempting to put over one month’s worth of supplies into two suitcases. We even went so far as using those travel vacuum-suck bags that condense your puffy clothes into the littlest shrink-wrapped bundle.

Stanley, my littlest puppy also decided he wanted to join me on the trip, hence the picture. It’s so cute to me that my dogs know me well enough to know that when the big black monsters that swallow Mommy’s stuff (suitcases) emerge from storage, that I am headed away for a while. I am excited that the dogs are here with my parents though- they’ll be fully spoiled for a month and probably be fat when I get back. Just as it should be.

The good news is that the polls show Barack is ahead by anywhere between 4 and 11 points nationally. He is currently in Ohio- hope he stays one more day!!! He’s still pretty even there, so I can’t wait to get to work. No Republican has won the presidency without winning Ohio… so I plan to keep it that way!

The No on 8 campaign continues its trek here in California. I am so worried that the proponents will win. It just scares me. But my friends and I have our big fundraiser on Thursday to help raise money for the campaign. I am so sad that I won’t be there physically but am really proud of my friends for stepping up and making it happen.

Oh how far away November 4th seems. But how close as well.
